  <para3>The majority of people favor the two main rivers in the Poconos - The Delaware River and the Lehigh River. There are other rivers and rapids as well, ranging from the sleepy to the extream. One thing is clear, the Poconos offer some of the best white water rafting in the entire Northeast. Each river has its own personality, with the Lehigh having some of the more moderately challenging runs.</para3>
  <para4>If you're not sure about how river rapids are classified, the International Scale of River Difficulty as defined by American Whitewater is reprinted below</para4>
  <para5>It highly recommended that you seek out a qualified outfitter or local guide to match up your skill level with an appropriate part of the river.</para5>
  <para6>Because the flow of water is dependent on season and recent rainfall, conditions are always variable from one day to the next, so make sure you solicit the help white water river guides who can report on the river conditions.</para6>
  <para7>Many of the outfitters, also know as "deliveries" since they offer pick up and drop off services to and from the river, also provide additional services like camping and other equipment rentals - it's a good idea to spend a bit of time planning your trip and making sure that you're prepared - sunscreen, old sneakers, etc. </para7>
