Nature Trails and Hiking

Listing of all the trails and paths available in the Poconos for hikers and nature walks

The Pocono Mountains abounds with wildlife and offers lots of recreational nature trails for hiking, mountain biking, dirt biking, cross country skiing, snowmobiling, and all-terrain vehicles (ATV).

The Appalachian Trail marks the southern border of the Poconos, and many other trail systems offer waterfalls, spectacular viewing conditions, and a high concentration of rare plants and animals.

Most of the State Forest Lands and State Game Lands allow motorized vehicles. These areas offer up some of the Poconos most scenic and unspoiled wilderness. State Parks have restrictions on motorized activities, check with each one to determine their regulations on dirt bikes, mountain bikes and ATV.

These trails are ideal for naturalists, birdwatchers and photographers too. Enjoy the beautiful outdoors in any season.
