Jack Frost National Golf Club

Built in 2007, the Jack Frost National is a public course. It garnered numerous awards in 2009 and 2010, and the greens are maturing very nicely 5 years in.

Set on the higher portions of Jack Frost Mountain, the course spans over 7,200 yards and is played at an elevation of over 2,000' - perfect for hot summer days, where the temps are cooler.

A well thought out and executed project, you'll enjoy the LoMo Blue grass and A-4 Bent grass greens. Practice facilities including a 30 tee driving range, asphalt cart paths.

Rates are very reasonable and is considered to be one of the better public courses in the area.

Even the most discerning golfers enjoy playing Jack Frost. At over 7200 yards it is quite large and gives a good workout. Much attention and resources have been devoted to the course itself and you'll find it to be one of the better maintained courses you'll play this year.

The owners have put the horse before the cart, so to say. You should expect a lot from the course itself, but as far as off-course offerings are concerned, temper your expectations until the new clubhouse is built. In the meantime, a temporary clubhouse does have food service and a small golf shop.

Props to the owners for doing it the right way.
