Nothing brings back memories - or creates them - like a trip to the carny. The rides and amusements are almost as interesting as the people who work them. Certainly not on the scale of Yellowstone, and not really a national park - the "Delaware River National Recreation Area" is grand and vast. There are several private zoos in the Poconos that are open to the public. They provided a much needed home for many animals that were, at one time, neglected, injured or abandoned.
