Thanks to the close proximity to New York City and some of the world's greatest talent, the Poconos has found itself the lucky recipient of both talent spillover and a demanding public.
Tucked away here and there throughout the Poconos, there are playhouses and revival theaters that offer a whole host of productions -many familiar, and others either local or obscure.
Use the listings below to find specific locations and theaters as well as a sampling of the best upcoming and current works.

The Playhouse, located in the village square of Shawnee-on-Delaware, is a beautiful stone and timber theater designed and built in 1904. The 1999 season includes the following performances: Grease, Oklahoma, Hello Dolly! and Scrooge.
The Theater also provides an acting classes program for children and adults, in addition to other events including square dancing and folk music concerts.

Sunflower Hill Productions produces a performing arts festival every summer. Additional performances throughout the year are also very popular. Some of these performances are conducted out of area, including performances at "The Met".
