The Poconos features some really cool fairs and festivals - mostly during the summer months and early fall - this weekend features the Jazz Festival at Delaware Water Gap.

The local 4H groups exhibit their animals and projects at some of the agricultural fairs - it's always a treat for the kids to see farm animals - particularly the 4H animals, since they are usually quiet friendly and well adapted to humans.

Shawnee puts on a hot air balloon festival that features a brilliant collection of different colored hot air balloons. You can ride in one if you like.

So, maybe you might want to coordinate your trip or vacation to the Poconos during one of these fairs and festivals. Most of them are worthwhile.
