Rustic sites for tents along the banks of the picturesque Delaware River within the confines of the 70,000 acres of the DEWA (Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area).
Some 133 sites: many along the banks of the river exclusively for tent campers. A limited number of forest setting sites will accommodate RVs, but there are no utilities for them.
Numerous waterfalls, hiking trails and other scenic sites await.
Regular shuttle van trips to the Appalachian Trail (situated across the river) and back allowing campers to make the 5.3 Sunrise Mountain trail in about 4 hours.
The campground is the property of the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area (DEWA), and is managed as a consession. Campsites are spacious and teh setting doesn't get any better.
Outdoor activies include: canoeing, fishing, swimming, hiking, biking, and nearby waterfalls.
Recreational facilities include a sports field, beach volleyball, and horse shoes.
Campground Amenities: office and convenience store, overflow parking, two bathhouses (with flush toilets and showers) and portable toilets in remote areas.
Special events and activities include overnight paddling trips, kayak and canoe trips
Group camping rates are available.
