Schoolhouse.jpg (4497 bytes)Shop The Candy Cottage for scrumptious candy and gourmet chocolates, Village Delights for a wonderful source for exotic coffees and teas, Mr. & Mrs. Cigar for worldwide imports, Years Gone By for a vast selection of nostalgic gifts, Magnolias for wonderful gifts and crafts, and Pike County Outfitters for quality sporting and outdoor gear. Don't forget to visit the "Little Red Schoolhouse" and stop by to feed the ducks, geese and other wildlife!

The Story of Apple Valley:
When Ed and Gretel Metzger founded Apple Valley over 30 years ago, it was a fulfillment of a dream Ed had when he was a boy to recapture the essence of a special place in California called Apple Valley, the home of the cowboy singers Roy Rogers and Dale Evans. When Ed Metzger acquired the property in Milford, Pennsylvania, his dream began to take shape. First, there was a pancake house, a motel and some cabins on the property. Then the concept of the Village evolved within a tranquil country sanctuary, with ponds, waterfalls, rolling meadows, fruit trees and evergreens. The pancake house was transformed into Apple Valley Restaurant and the cabins became the specialty shops. We invite you to stroll the grounds, feed the ducks and browse through the shops.

Over the years, the Metzgers have created a theme that captures the weathered, timeless spirit of America. Today the Metzger family is proud to welcome you as their guests and hope you enjoy the heritage of American foods at Apple Valley Restaurant and the pleasure of companionship and entertainment at the Alley Oops Pub.
