OPENS DEC 8!! Another ski area technically not in the Poconos but close enough and good enough to warrant inclusion and your consideration. Between Scranton and Wilkes-Barre, PA on I-81. It's a big ski area. With over 21 trails, 140 acras and 8 lifts, Sno MOuntain has a vertical drop of 1000'. Easy freeway access to I-81 in Scranton, PA - about an hour Northwest of the Poconos and not to far from Pocono Downs and Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs (Gaming).
