East Shore Lodging is one of those places you wish there were more of: nicely decorated rooms, owners and staff that are attentive to your needs, spotlessly clean - and reasonably affordable.
Since it's located just off the highway (Route 6), and has a modest exterior, I classify it as a motel, but somehow that moniker doesn't do the place justice.
Rooms decorated in comfy-country motif and located across the street from Lake Wallnepaupack.
Most likely, there's an unhappy guest out there somewhere, but you'll be hard pressed to find him. My visit to East Shore Lodging and feedback I've received all point to a small-lodging wonder.
Highly recommended and close to most of the activities on the "Eastern Shore" of the large Lake Wallenpaupack and the town of Hawley. While most activities and restaurants will require a drive, it will be a short one.
The motel itself consists of 12 rooms and suites that range from queen to king to two queens and whose prices range from $120 to $180 per night.
In sum, an unpretentious place to stay the night, or enjoy the weekend. Open all year around. No pets, no smoking but yes to a free continental breakfast.
