At first blush, when people think of the Poconos, they think of heart-shaped tubs and honeymoon resorts. Well, that's part of the story, but by no means the complete picture. Indeed, an emergence of family fun and outdoor sports and recreation has come to the forefront making the Poconos the outdoor playground for the New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania urban dwellers.
The Poconos has for centuries, now, been a place for urbanites to escape the summer heat, find solace and natural beauty and partake in numerous pursuits like golfing, fishing, whitewater rafting, hiking, skiing and all -around rest and relaxation sprinkled with adventure and outdoor thrills.
