<p>Good news for local ski enthusiasts: Tanglwood has new owners and will open this year for the entire 2008 - 2009 season.</p>
<p>Located near Lake Wallenpaupack, Tanglwood has been a favorite local sking area for over 40 years. Downhill, snow boarding and snow tubing are all available - as are rentals. </p>

Skiiers looking for other ski areas can also consider the Big Bear ski resort - also located in Pike County in the small town of Lackawaxen. Sno Mountain and Elk Mountain are also good bets - further east and northeast, respectively.
